Yellow Wedding Invitation from Rifle Design

I’m heading out a bit early to work on a couple of other projects (including the first installment of my 2010 calendar round-up – coming on Wednesday!), but thought I’d leave you with this lovely yellow screen printed invitation from Anna of Rifle Design along with a very small sneak peek at the upcoming issue of MS Weddings:

Pop + Shorty

Good morning everyone! I thought I'd start this morning off with some bright and cheery cards from Pop + Shorty – a stationery studio that just launched this past June but is definitely full of promise:

These super-cute fortune tellers bring back lots of middle school memories – how fun would they be as party favors?

I also love that Pop + Shorty isn't afraid to geek out from time to time – like with this print guide for designers (which includes keyboard shortcuts, standard paper and card sizes, and unit conversions) and cheeky computer code buttons:

Happy Weekend!

Hello again everyone! Do you all have fun plans for the weekend? I'm actually looking forward to taking it easy this weekend – well, that and the National Book Festival on Saturday. It's one of my favorite DC annual events and it looks like the organizers have got a bunch of really great authors lined up this year. In the meantime…

Illustration and Hand Lettering â€” Joel Holland

You may have noticed that I've had a small obsession with hand lettering lately, so of course I was instantly smitten with the hand lettering and illustration portfolio of Joel Holland when I saw it on SeeSaw yesterday. Here are a few of my favorites:

Love, love, love. There's tons of fabulous work — from book covers to magazine illustrations to hand lettering for advertisements — so you'll definitely want to check out more of Joel's work both on his personal portfolio and over on Dutch Uncle.
