The Left Handed Calligrapher

After a warm, sunny, and absolutely gorgeous spring weekend, we're back to cold and rainy – although hopefully just temporarily! I'm trying to keep myself from getting bummed out while I wait for the rain to pass by, so what better to cheer things up than beautiful calligraphy from Nicole at The Left Handed Calligrapher?

Vintage-Inspired Coral + Pewter Wedding Invitations

So today is apparently all about color palettes!Â Earlier it was shades of blue, and this afternoon it’s all about coral -Â one of my favorite colorsÂ this spring!Â These invitations were created by Dauphine Press for the wedding of their art director, Erin, in California last fall.Â First up, Erin’s Save the Dates, whichÂ mixed a lighter coral and espresso brown inksÂ from her original Latin-inspired wedding vision:

Erin’s theme evolved as the wedding planning process continued, so for her invitations she went with a more romantic and sophisticated design – again using the bright pops of coralÂ but paired withÂ a more subdued pewter ink and ornamental flourishes:

Hand Drawn Decals from Shanna Murray

Okay, so you’re going to see these everywhere this week, but Shanna Murray just released a new collection of wall decals and they’re so pretty that I couldn’t resist sharing a few of my favorites:

I’m planning to paint a chalkboard wall in my home office, and I think a couple of these decals would look absolutely lovely above the desk for some added inspiration. I could easily see these decals incorporated into weddings or parties – use the round borders to help frame a menu, or to impart a sweet message to guests above a favor table. The decals come in a range of colors, so you’re not limited to white on a dark or chalkboard surface. Check out the full collection right here – congrats Shanna!

All aboutÂ blueâ€¦

This morning I’m all about the color blue â€” from the palest sky blue to a bolder light teal, these two invitations from Angela and Kathleen recently caught my eye and stayed in my mind all weekend. Â First up,Â Angela from SeeSaw created these gorgeous light blue letterpress wedding invitations with lovely damask details and whimsical stripes for her brother-in-law’s recent wedding:
