Just when you think you’ve seen everything…

…you see a wedding invitation packaged in a tin can:

Tincanweddinginvitation

Tincanweddinginvitation2

Tincanweddinginvitation3

The invitation was greated by Greek designer Chris Trivizas and is literally all in Greek, so I can't read the invitation myself, but the invitation apparently includes instructions to guests to tie the can to the couple's getaway car (naturally) at the wedding.  What do you all think about this unusual wedding invitation idea?

{origami business card}

This fold-out presentation/business card (made with origami paper) from Raquel Quevedo is way cool:

OrigamiBusinessCard
{the card arrives folded up into a small triangle}

OrigamiBusinessCard2
{the card then unfolds to reveal the designer's contact info}

OrigamiBusinessCard3
{once unfolded to its full size, the card reveals a series of dots to be connected…}

OrigamiBusinessCard4
{…with a hidden message to the reader!}

So clever – I love this design!  You can see more photos, as well as more of her design work, from Raquel's portfolio right here.

Intricate Letterpress Wedding Invitation Booklet

Every now and then, I come across a wedding invitation that truly takes my breath away.  This amazingly detailed and intricate letterpress wedding invitation booklet, printed by Studio on Fire, is one such invitation.  Studio on Fire worked with designer (and sister of the groom) Kavita Ahuja on the design, which was printed as a top-stitch invitation booklet:

Head on over to Beast Pieces (the Studio on Fire blog) for more information about this gorgeous design.  I’m just going to sit here and stare at the lovely photos for a little while longer…

NSS – Booth round-up, part seven

As promised, I've got one final NSS round-up to share with you!  I had so much fun at this year's show, particularly in getting to know some of my favorite designers a bit better and making some new (at least to me) discoveries.  I'm already looking forward to next year's show, but until then, you can find my entire NSS coverage in one handy location right here.  And now on to our final round-up!

First up, I enjoyed the bold graphic designs at the L2 Design Collective booth:

One of my favorite booth displays came from The Beehive Press, which used dozens of little white paper bees to accent their invitation and card designs:

And last, but definitely not least, a few more from Lilywillow, one of my favorite NSS new discoveries:

In case you still haven't gotten enough from NSS 2009, I've been slowly uploading all of my photos to my flickr page.  I'm still working on getting all the photos up, but you'll be able to find them all in my NSS 2009 collection right here.
