Illustration – Grady McFerrin

I'm taking a small break from wedding invitations today (don't worry, I've got more wedding invitations planned for tomorrow) to focus on the amazing illustration artwork of Grady McFerrin

I first discovered Grady through his work in poster illustration:

Real Invitations – Robin Rosenthal

This one is a bit of an oldie, but a {really, really} goodie.  These fabulously fun yet simple invitations are from the May 2005 wedding of Robin Rosenthal and Matt Hall featured in the Winter 2006 edition of Martha Stewart Weddings:

Rosenthal1
{I love the text bubble on the rsvp card}

The invitations themselves are so wonderfully creative, but then there are all of the wedding details:

{mustaches as wedding props}

Robin is an amazing graphic designer and illustrator, working as Deputy Art Director at Martha Stewart Kids magazine until March 2006.  Check out her full portfolio here!

Poster Offensive

I saw these on sfgirlbybay last week, but they're so good I couldn't resist re-posting them here:

{by Amy Jo.  This poster is probably my favorite.  I could see this being the design inspiration for invitations to a vintage-inspired wedding}
