Wedding Invitations — Mika78

Mimi from Mika78 contacted me a couple of weeks ago to introduce me to her new invitation collection – and it’s absolutely gorgeous!  I immediately fell in love with every detail, from the color palettes to lovely little details in each suite, and thought I would share a few of my favorites from the Mika78 collection:

Wood Veneer Invitations

After I posted about a few wood-inspired details last week, PDX Bride reminded me about these lovely wood veneer invitations, from one of the cutest weddings I've ever seen, via Portland Bride & Groom:

I also love the way Glenn and George coordinated other wedding stationery elements with the invtations, such as their escort cards and labels used during the reception:

I definitely loved these invitations the first time I saw them, but it was nice to go back and revisit them again.  Thanks PDX!

Satsuma Press Wedding Line!

You guys, I am so excited – the Satsuma Press Wedding Line is finally here!  The website officially went live over the weekend, featuring Lynn’s gorgeous invitations as photographed by Max Wanger.  The wedding line features eleven lovely designs in twenty lush colors, all letterpress printed on 100% cotton paper:

The designs were inspired by vintage botanical drawings, organic shapes and jewel-toned hues.  Lynn included the following statement on her blog post announcing the wedding line, which I think perfectly represents the new collection:

I fancy good, simple design that is pleasing to the eye and mind; refreshing color and lush paper; plenty of open space and quiet, graceful beauty. I believe in fine craftsmanship. I believe that finding joy in the work you do is essential. I believe that letterpress printing is a thing of beauty.

I hope you’ll all spend some time today browsing through the new designs.  And congratulations to Lynn on the launch of the collection!

Rustic Wedding Invitations

I came across these lovely wedding invitations via Green Wedding Shoes over the weekend, and just had to share them here.  I love the way the couple used a Mad Lib format for the RSVP:

I also love the pops of bright color added by all those vintage stamps.  And how cute are those place cards with that gorgeous calligraphy and the squirrel in the corner?  Check out the rest of the wedding right here, along with a few more here.

Vineyard Wedding Invitations

I love the interpretation of  a vineyard wedding in these invitations from Sarah of Parrott Design Studio:

Even if you’re getting married in a wine vineyard, who says the images have to be of grapes?  Blackberries, rasperries, and really any kind of berry or vine would give that lovely rustic but elegant feel that is so lovely in a vineyard, and so perfect for a summertime wedding!  Check out more photos and background on the design here.
