Sabrina + Alex’s Modern and Graphic Wedding Invitations

These wedding invitations come to us all the way from France! Designer Lise Mailman of Ruban CollectifÂ was inspired by the groom’s love of music and the bride’s love of bright colors and wanted to create something true to their personalities. Lise mixed graphic black and white with pops of bright color and neon.Â I love the chic modern style!

From Lise:Â This is one of my latest custom wedding invitations that I made for a lovely French couple.Â He is passionate about music and has played bass guitar Â in a rock n’ roll band since he was 16 years old. She loves Flamenco dancing and bright colors.Â I was inspired by the fact that they both loveÂ artÂ (music and dance) and wanted to make them an invitation that reflects their personality.

I choose to go with a graphic poster style for the wedding invitations. They were delighted and super excited to have something more modern, with bright colors, different fonts, and graphic elements.

Bettina + David’s White and Gold Winter Wedding Invitations

It’s not an easy thing to pull off an all white wedding invitation, but that’s exactly what Emily and Dianna from Fourth Year StudioÂ did for Bettina and David’s winter wedding! The invitation was letterpress printed on thick cotton paper, with gold details in the RSVP and envelope and a silver striped washi tape accent. Perfect for a sparkly wedding right before New Year’s Eve!

From Dianna:Â Bettina is a good friend of mine. She catered my wedding withÂ LUXEÂ and since then has started theÂ Sweetery. She has phenomenal style and I was thrilled with she was planning a wedding of her own. Bettina and David got married just before New Years Eve at the Knoxville Modern Art Museum.

The venue was perfect for a sparkly winter wedding. All the decor was white with touches of gold and silver throughout. Â At our first design meeting Bettina and David said they wanted the invitations to be white â€“ all white. Yippee!! Letterpress on 220lb cotton paper was the perfect way to achieve the all white (no ink) invitation. A silver stripe washi tape was used as an accent.

We printed in gold on the RSVP and envelope. Bettina and David had been together for a number of years and had quite a story of their relationship. Their story was printed on vellum and wrapped all the pieces together. It was finished up with a gold elastic tie. NSS Sneak Peek: Pei Design

Our next Stationery Show sneak peek comes from a designer that had one of my favorite debuts last year â€“ Pei Design (Booth #1774)! I love Pei’s modern style and knack for color. Last year’s collection included letterpress and foil stamped greeting cards, notebooks, and fill-in party invitations. This year Pei is expanding withÂ art prints, calendars, notepads, wrapping paper, holiday postcards, and lots of greeting card designs! The new products are all locally printed in full color using FSC-certified paper.

Jamie + Aaron’s Modern Romantic Destination Wedding Invitations

These destination wedding invitations fromÂ Made by KaraÂ combine the groom’s modern style with the bride’s romantic sensibilities. Kara incorporated letterpress printing and white foil with a color palette inspired by the island wedding venue â€“ Anguilla! The resulting invitation is elegant and sophisticated, with lots of beautiful subtle texture.

From Kara:Â When Jamie and Aaron approached me to design their wedding invitations they asked for something unique that would “marry” their individual design sensibilities (the groom has more of a modern taste while the bride’s is more romantic). They also knew that inviting guests all the way to Anguilla was a big ask, so they wanted the save the invitation materials to excite their loved ones about the unique destination.

The suite was inspired by the colors and textures of the island. The invitation arrived in a custom folder, with stacked cards outlining the details of the wedding weekend. The letterpress, blind emboss, and white foil added texture to the simple design.

The save the date took on a playful format, personalized with each guest’s name and airport code and wrapped in a ticket sleeve.Â This was truly a designer’s dream job â€” Jamie and Aaron were amazing to work with and I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out!

NSS Sneak Peek: 9th Letter Press

Happy Monday everyone! I thought I’d kick off this year’s National Stationery Show sneak peek coverage with a studio making its debut at this year’s show â€“ 9th Letter PressÂ (Booth #1754)! Based in Winter Park, Florida, 9th Letter Press specializes in wedding invitations and greeting cards with unique illustrations and hand lettering. Sheli and Isabel of 9th Letterpress will debut a new collection of foil stamped greeting cards, gift wrap, notebooks, and party decor at the show. I can’t wait to see everything in person!
