Wedding Stationery Inspiration: Chalkboard Details

I love the versatility of chalkboard details at an event. They can be styled with everything from a rustic theme to something more elegant, but the best part is that they are easily customizable… which includes being able to use those details over and over after your big day. And you aren’t limited to buying boards in specific pieces anymore, there are great papers that can be used in any of these applications! Here are just a few of my favorite day of wedding details executed with chalkboards and chalkboard paper. –Lauren

NSS 2015 Sneak Peek: Ferme à Papier

Aaaaah! The 2015 National Stationery Show is less than two weeks away! Today I’m excited to share the first sneak peek from an NSS 2015 exhibitor – Ferme à Papier by Cat Seto (Booth #2034)! For her newest releases, Cat is channeling a geometry theme that she’s calling “Golden Rectangle...harmony in geometry.” Cat is incorporating the golden ratio and rectangle into all aspects of organizing and giving with new Foiled Yearless Planners and Foiled greeting cards, along with an illustrated a set of friendship cards and a “Girl Power” art print.

Sweet cards to express the sentiment, pretty feminine decor and some delicious breakfast treats (Ehm, donuts!) are all you need to throw a wonderful Mother’s Day brunch. —Kelly

Jen + Levi’s Alchemy-Inspired Wedding Invitations

These beautiful illustrated invitations come to us from Jen of Shipwright & Co. – created for her own wedding earlier this spring! The invitations feature alchemy-inspired designs and handfasting elements that were also incorporated into the ceremony. So sweet!

From Jen: The entire suite was inspired by the Digby & Iona signet we chose as my husband’s wedding ring. Each piece has alchemy-inspired designs, including the clasped hands featured on the ring which we used in the save the date. Because we also included elements of handfasting in our ceremony, we felt the symbolism was especially perfect.

Our wedding was in our backyard and very small, so we also sent out announcements to friends and family that didn’t come. One of my favorite things ended up being the coasters, which we wrapped in vintage silk ribbon and gave away to the guests afterward. The beautiful flowers are by my friend Jaime of The Monkey Flower Group.
