Dana + Ben’s Whimsical Gold Engraved Wedding Invitations

When it comes to wedding invitations there’s really just nothing more classic (or classically beautiful) than engraved text in gold ink. Jackie of Sincerely, Jackie wanted to balance her client’s whimsical style with the bride’s parents’ desire for classic engraving. The resulting design pairs gold with blush pink envelopes and a lace ribbon to tie the whole suite together. Totally romantic and totally perfect.

From Jackie: When Dana, my bride, reached out to me, she was so excited to find a way to match her whimsical, romantic style with the classic engraving that her parents requested for her invitations. Her wedding was a colorful celebration taking place in Colorado, but she wanted something subtle and sweet for her invitations. We settled on a beautifully balanced design highlighting Dana and Ben’s names. The design was printed with traditional engraving in gold ink on thick, off-white cotton paper. The blush pink metallic envelopes and lace ribbon added a soft, feminine touch.

Lindsey + Blake’s Floral Noir Wedding Invitations

There’s just something so striking about a dark and moody floral design, don’t you think? I love the way Becca at Suite Paperie paired the moody florals with whimsical hand lettered and informal sans-serif text. And that black and white striped envelope liner?? So good!

From Becca: This luxe and beautiful wedding invitation suite features double-mounting and a digitally printed full color floral motif. Inspired by a Ted Baker dress that all of the bridesmaids wore at the wedding, this floral invitation is both bright and fun. A play on patterns and textures gives this suite both a touch of elegance and whimsy.

Maurine’s Black and Silver 40th Birthday Party Invitations

When I turn 40 I hope I’m lucky enough to have a designer friend like Kate Holgate create beautiful invitations to help celebrate that milestone! Kate created these elegant black, white, and silver invitations for a dinner party celebrating her friend Maurine’s 40th birthday earlier this month. I’m loving all the playful details that Kate included in the design!

From Kate: My good friend, Maurine, is having a formal dinner party at a well-known Boise restaurant for her 40th birthday. Maurine is sophisticated and classy with impeccable taste. She also has a great sense of humor and I wanted to design an invitation that portrayed her personality. The invitation suite featured three cards that were enclosed in a sliver envelopment and wrapped with sparkly ribbon. I incorporated the evening’s black, white, and silver theme, while having some fun with the year in which Maurine was born. I am looking forward to celebrating her big day!

French-Inspired Handkerchief Wedding Invitations

Oh my – how pretty are these French-inspired handkerchief wedding invitations from Erin at Lucky Luxe? Originally created for a destination wedding in Paris (so dreamy!), I’m loving the elegant design details on both fabric and paper pieces – and of course the gold foil enclosure cards on warm gray paper! So lovely for any French-inspired affair!

From Erin: Amélie, our newest French-inspired fabric suite, is the epitome of elegance. Commissioned originally by Beth and Steven for their Parisian destination wedding, Amélie is the perfect compliment to any classic event (even if there won’t be a view of the Eiffel Tower). This delicate ivory handkerchief invitation paired with the charming enclosure card designs is an enchanting experience of its own upon delivery.

Romantic Blush and Gray Wedding Invitations

Ah, blush and gray. Such a timeless color combination! And so romantic. I actually think blush pink might be the most romantic color of all time – and it pairs well with pretty much any color in the rainbow and every single metallic known on Earth. Add in some gorgeous whimsical calligraphy from Brown Linen Design, elegant lace-inspired blind (no-ink) impression letterpress printed details, and perfectly coordinated vintage postage stamps, and you’ve got yourself a truly stunning invitation suite. Which is exactly what Nichole from Coral Pheasant did with these romantic blush and gray wedding invitations!

From Nichole: Erin and Taylor’s romantic and elegant invitation suite let guests know that this was a celebration not to be missed! Working hand-in-hand with Erin and Stacie Shea Events, we created these beautiful blush and gray wedding invitations with a fresh spin on classic elements.

On the main invitation, angled type and calligraphy by Brown Linen Design are framed with a floral border blind debossed on double thick Crane’s Lettra cotton paper. The thick cotton stock allows the blind impression to be deep and visually prominent – but in a subtle way. Blush envelopes with coordinating vintage stamps add a dash of color. The entire invitation suite was wrapped in delicate lace ribbon inspired by the bride’s gown and veil.
