Bailey Doesn’t Bark

I'm a huge, huge fan of the work from Bailey Doesn't Bark — the delicate illustrations and shimmery gold dots on the beautiful ceramic pieces just make me weak in the knees:

As if that wasn't enough, Bailey Doesn't Bark also has a holiday collection containing these amazingly beautiful holiday cards featuring black ink and gold foil stamp dots:

Sigh.  So simple and so, so lovely… you can find them right here.

Paper Artwork — Marian Bantjes

Let's start this Friday morning off with a bit of eye candy, shall we?  How about these foil stamped posters — with silver foil on blue and copper paper — by Marian Bantjes?

Sigh — isn't it lovely?  There's also a laser-cut (no ink!) version:

I love all the tiny pattern details in the design, not to mention Marian's custom hand lettering (you can see more of her hand lettering and beautiful design work on her website right here).  These posters were created for the non-profit organization Academy for Educational Development, but I could definitely see these posters serving as some pretty fabulous wedding invitation design inspiration!

NSS – Booth round-up, part four

I'm heading out for some early anniversary celebrations (one year on Monday!) with my husband, but before I do, I wanted to share a few more photos from the NSS.

First up, the jam-packed booth of Small Square Design:

{I love these small book notes journals!}

I also loved the unusual presentation at the twig + fig booth…

…and twig + fig's wonderful line of Bar + Bat Mitzvah invitations (in addition to some pretty amazing wedding invitations):

Next up, some gorgeous new cards + invitations from our friends over at Copper Willow:

{this last set of invitations is letterpress printed on BOTH sides on super-thick paper – so that green + brown bird pattern? that's actually the reverse side of the invitation. gorgeous!}

I was also absolutely delighted to meet the husband + wife design team behind Embellished Ink, a new DC-based (yay!) design studio that made their official launch at this year's NSS:

{how gorgeous is this foil-stamped holiday card?!?}

And finally, at least for this segment, the cuteness was in full effect over at the Dee & LaLa booth:

{I absolutely LOVE the card with the skunks – too cute!}

I've still got a few more booths to share with you, so check back for the rest of my coverage from NSS '09!

Save the Dates by Cheree Berry

This is the first of three posts featuring Cheree Berry designs.  Cheree has created some of my all-time favorite invitation and Save the Date designs, and I am so excited to be featuring her work today! Chances are you’ve already seen Cheree’s work in Martha Stewart Weddings and Modern Bride, among others, but just in case you’re not familiar with her work, here’s a bit of background on the creative force behind these lovely designs:

Cheree is a former graphic designer for Kate Spade in New York City, where she partnered with Crane & Co. to create the Kate Spade wedding stationery album.  In January 2006, Cheree launched her own custom paper line, Cheree Berry Paper.  Cheree is known for whimsical designs, including envelope liners inspired by vintage wallpaper, unexpected paper sizes, and touches of gold foil.

Today we’re starting off with Save the Dates.  I know a lot of you are in the process of looking for inspiration for your Save the Dates, and Cheree Berry is full of inspiration, whether its simple Save the Date postcards or multiple pieces with accommodation information:
