{happy weekend!}

You know how some weeks are just harder than others?  This has been a tough week for me, with a to-do list that feels like it’s getting longer by the minute and a rapidly dwindling energy level.  I’ve been feeling overwhelmed, drained, and a little burned out – and on top of all of that, over the last few days I also managed to come down with a bit of a cold.  Not a good combination!  I’m hoping to recharge a bit this weekend and start fresh next week.  But in the meantime…

…a few links for your weekend:

That’s it for me this week!  I hope you all have a lovely weekend, and I’ll see you back here on Monday!

Business Card Ideas and Inspiration #4

As a paper enthusiast, it’s no secret that I love business cards.  I love seeing all of the amazing and creative business cards at blogging conferences and trade shows.  And even though it’ll be a while before I need new business cards for myself (you can see my current cards right here), I’ve had business cards on the brain over the past few weeks.  I was going through some of my favorite images and noticed some patterns emerging – bright pops of color and quirky design elements like illustrated details and hand lettering…

{happy monday}

Whew!  Three days, five states, and more than 900 miles later I’m incredibly happy to be back at home in DC.  I’m a wee bit tired from a long driving weekend, so I thought I would share a few photos from our road trip and some of my favorite links from last week before jumping back into the swing of things.

We stopped in the lovely and charming coastal town of Beaufort, South Carolina.  Have any of you been there?  We really enjoyed our time there!

And a few favorite links from last week!

I’ve got some gorgeous wedding invitations to share with you this morning, so check back soon!

{happy weekend!}

Happy Friday everyone!  I’ve actually been in my home state of Florida this entire week, helping my Mom pack up her house for a move up to the DC area (where she’ll be closer to me, yay!).  By the time you all read this, the boxes will have been packed, truck will have been loaded up, and we’ll be getting on the road for the drive back up to DC.  We’re planning to make a nice weekend out of it, perhaps stopping in Savannah and a couple of other towns along I-95 on the way back up north.  So I’m going to wish you all a wonderful weekend, and I’ll see you all back here on Monday!

xoxo

Nursery Artwork – Colorful Peacock Print for Manisha

Reena from 3 Bees Paperie sent over this peacock print that she created for a former wedding invitation client, Manisha, who was expecting her first daughter.  Manisha loved the animated short film “Sita Sings the Blues” and wanted a peacock poster print for her daughter’s nursery, so Reena happily obliged.  The bright colors and patterns are so perfect for a baby nursery!
