We made it to Friday, yay! My family is heading to the beach on Monday – we’re just going for a couple of days, but it will be nice to get away from DC for a bit. It has been raining non stop this entire week, so fingers crossed for sunshine next week!

Just bought a copy of this beautiful book to read with my girls. They’ll be attending a new elementary school this coming school year, and it’s a designated school for hearing impaired students in DC. There are also a couple of students that are both deaf and blind, so I started this conversation with my girls about interacting with kids that might be a little bit different.

Apparently all I want from the Nordstrom anniversary kids sale is shoes! My kids both pretty much destroyed their shoes this summer and are kind of desperate for new sneakers, so it works out. Currently eyeing these unicorn sneakers, these pink high tops, and these glitter sneakers.
