Rachel’s Whimsical Woodland Baby Shower Invitations

When it comes to baby shower invitations, sweet and simple will always win my heart. For her sister’s baby shower, Jessie from Gramercy Studio created a beautiful design with whimsical hand lettering and illustrated branches inspired by the outdoorsy nature of the parents-to-be. Beautiful!

From Jessie: This invitation design was inspired by my sister Rachel and her husband Bryant, who are having a baby in just one month. They are a sweet and outdoorsy couple, so I wanted to create a design that was fun, whimsical and a little wild. Illustrated branches frame the custom lettering against an aqua background.

Party Paper: Row Row Row Your Boat Party

Nursery rhymes are great starting points for little one’s parties. If they have a favorite, why not use it as a jumping off point for party inspiration? That’s just what I did here with the classic and beloved Row Row Row Your Boat. If you’re like me and sad to see summer go, this theme is also a great excuse to keep the nautical vibe alive! —Kelly

Happy Weekend + Sophie at 11 months

Happy Friday everyone! Earlier this week Sophie turned 11 months old – I can’t believe her first birthday is in less than a month! This first year has flown by so incredibly fast, and this past month in particular has been a complete whirlwind. Sophie has turned into a champion speed crawler, so of course she’s into absolutely everything. This week she’s working on standing up, pulling herself up against the couches, coffee table, dining chairs – anything she can reach. It’s simultaneously exhausting to chase her around the house all day but also really fun to watch her make so many new discoveries. This weekend we head up to New York for the NYNOW trade show (formerly NYIGF) – we’re excited to have a few days in the city again! I’ll report back next week with my favorite finds from NYNOW (and you can follow me around during the show via Instagram), but in the meantime…

Irina + Daniel’s Nature-Inspired Baby Shower Invitations

We’ve seen quite a few nature-inspired wedding invitations recently, so why not a baby shower invitation? These invitations from Anastasia Marie feature dark green paper leaves and a tiny little paper pacifier accented with mint green washi tape. Too cute!

From Anastasia: I created these baby shower invitations for some friends of mine; they wanted to have a nature-inspired shower with lots of green foliage. I cut out nine leaves out of dark green paper and one pacifier from a shimmery chartreuse paper for each set of invitations.

The foliage pieces were secured with a dab of glue and a piece of mint green washi tape across the stem to make them look like they were taped down; the pacifier was hung from a piece of metallic silver string. The invitations were coordinated with recycled kraft envelopes and sealed with metallic silver circle stickers.

{happy weekend!}

Happy First Day of Summer everyone! I tried to make the most of the last official week of spring: I took a pointed pen calligraphy class taught by Michele of Meant To Be Calligraphy (that’s my handiwork below) and took Sophie for her first real outing in a playground – including her first experience in a swing! We don’t have any particular plans for the weekend, but I’m hoping to make some progress in setting up my office and unpacking our remaining boxes. I can’t wait to be organized again! But in the meantime…
