Today we’re going from crisp and modern wedding invitations to a sweet, illustrated wedding invitation suite from designer Laura Macchia. Laura designed these beautiful invitations for a wedding in the Finger Lakes region of upstate New York. Laura drew inspiration from classic Americana for the color palette, incorporating rustic but elegant details befitting a fall wedding on a farm.
From Laura: Ali and Damien are getting married at a farm in the beautiful Finger Lakes region of Central New York. They wanted their wedding suite to incorporate the surrounding landscape of farmland, rolling hills and colorful meadows. The overall look they were going for was something a little rustic and fun but with an elegant touch.
One of their favorite artists, Sabra Field, was a great source of inspiration for the design of the main invitation. The Americana color palette paired with the natural white paper adds a nice vintage quality to the entire suite. Once the couple shared their idea of having apples to hold the table cards, it was easily decided that they would be a great motif for the pattern of the envelope liners. I then thought it would be fun to print the pattern on the back of the info cards too.
Just beautiful! Thanks Laura!
