Jillian from GIGI Press first contacted me a year ago as she was getting her studio up and running, and she’s had quite a year since then – including getting married this past March! When it came to her own wedding invitations, Jillian worked with Passing Notes to create an invitation suite that matches her own design philosophy – simple, modern, yet timeless:
From Jillian: I worked with Abbie at Passing Notes on the wedding invitation suite. She was a delight to work with, and we share a similar design philosophy. Grace Connell did the calligraphy for the invitations, seating cards, and menus. Kelly Meyer of Kelly Michelle Weddings was our wedding planner and Elizabeth Messina captured everything on film.
I wanted everything about the wedding to compliment the beautiful setting at the Montage in Laguna Beach – not overpower or take away. The colors all reflected what you will find in nature along the Laguna’s gorgeous coastline… many shades of blues, grays, whites.
To add a warm natural element, we used square pieces of walnut wood, and engraved them with our logo and numbers to serve as our table numbers, to display our parting gifts, and small signs that read “please stay for a midnight snack” at the bars to ask that guests be sure to stick around for In-N-Out cheeseburgers that came out at midnight.
Gorgeous! Thanks Jillian – and congratulations!
