Oh So Beautiful Paper

I’ve been making greetings and invitations for nearly 20 years.  It seems to be the perfect combination of my love of graphics, illustration and now printing.  I had the opportunity a few years ago to buy a vintage press and set up a small studio.  I am printing my heart out now for everyone from individual brides to boutique hotels.

My favorite thing in the world is to tailor fit a paper suite to my client.  That could mean using a stock invite I have and making it custom just for you with personal touches and color, or working entirely custom with whatever your dreams may be.  I’ve had clients send me napkin sketches to telling me they wanted “brown, green and twigs” and I can take it from there.  Thanks to this beautiful thing called the web I can work with clients around the world.  I’ve worked with clients in the UK, Kenya, and Australia.

I spent 14 years working in the advertising and graphics world, working along side the best creative and business minds in Los Angeles.  Through that work, I had the opportunity to work with everyone from Fortune 100 companies to small business owners.  That experience has proven invaluable to how I approach and source my work for my brides and private clients now.  I want everyone to get the best service and value possible.  I offer both letterpress and digital printing to fit with every couple or client’s budget.

Invitation process starts with an email or if you’re in Southern California you’re welcome to come by the studio for a chat.  We sort out your timeline and budget and get to building your dream invites.  Depending on our studio schedule rush projects can be handled [please inquire].

I live and work in Long Beach, California with my husband Chris and of course Stella, my 1200 lb vintage Vandercook press.  Stella is a sturdy girl and I love her for that. In the studio I use 100% cotton paper [no additional water or growing is needed as the cotton is left from the garment industry] and low VOC inks and cleaners.
