Absolutely Awesome Baby Announcements

I think this birth announcement might be the coolest I've ever seen:

The announcement was designed by the parents, Tosh and Victoria Brown, and letterpress printed in four spot colors on Crane Lettra paper by The Mandate Press.  The overall design kind of reminds me of The Royal Tennenbaums, don't you think?  Either way, I just love the simple, yet completely non-traditional and unique, design of this baby announcement.

{summer on the farm}

I absolutely adore Kate Headley – not only is she an amazing photographer, but she's one of the sweetest people I've ever had the pleasure of meeting!  Over the weekend Kate posted a few photos from an engagement session taken at her in-laws' farm – these are two of my favorites:

this weekend…

Just about every weekend we visit our local farmer’s market – and as much as I love coming home with truly fresh produce (and flowers!), I almost always come home with the same thing weekend after weekend.  Lately, I’ve been inspired by Katy’s CSA adventures to try out some veggies that aren’t part of our regular menu.

So, this weekend we came home with:

Kale

For the squash blossoms, I’m thinking about going with Alyson’s yummy-looking recipe – and I’m thinking I’ll probably sautée the kale… but I’m still on the lookout for a good recipe for purple cauliflower.  Anyone have any suggestions?
