Wedding Stationery Inspiration: Evergreen

I’m starting to feel like I’ll blink and Christmas will be here! So with that holiday spirit in mind, I was feeling a little evergreen wedding inspiration today. I love the use of actual evergreen sprigs (that lovely fresh scent is just a bonus!) in escort cards, the idea of gifting a sapling with a sweet thank you tag as a favor, or just incorporating that rich color, or tree motif, into menus, table numbers and more for a wintertime wedding! Here are a few lovely snippets of all of those and more to get you thinking (ever)green for your holiday wedding! —Kelly

Party Paper: A Holiday Gift Wrapping Party

I think one of the best ideas for a holiday get together has to be a gift wrapping party! Bring your gifts and some pretty little wrapping supplies to share, and you can get a holiday task checked off your list, while hopefully enjoying some sips and sweets with your friends, too! As the host, you could select a theme for the wrapping, like this modern and colorful one I chose here, or just leave it up to the guests to bring a festive mix! —Kelly

Holiday Happy Hour: Apple Cider Sangria

Like many of you, we’re ducking out a bit early this week to celebrate Thanksgiving. But we couldn’t leave you without a cocktail recipe for the week! So today we’re sharing a great wintry Sangria to help celebrate the holiday: a spicy and sweet Apple Cider Sangria. – Andrew

Apple Cider Sangria

One Bottle Dry Red Wine
3 Cups Apple Cider
6 oz Apple Brandy
2 oz Lemon Juice
2 oz Orange Liqueur
2 oz Ginger Liqueur
Fresh Seasonal Fruit (we used pears, apples, and pomegranate seeds)
Cinnamon, Nutmeg, Cloves, Cardamon, and Allspice (or 1 oz Allspice Dram, if on hand) to Taste

Combine everything, spices and all, in a pitcher. Give it a stir and, ideally, let the Sangria sit overnight. Add more fresh fruit just before serving.

Alternatively, you could simmer everything until the Sangria is heated through and the spices are infused.  Just strain out the cooked spices (or keep them as a garnish) and pour into mugs. Enjoy!

It’s Thanksgiving. You could serve your friends and family a sweet and fruity Sangria, or a spicy mulled wine, or a rich mulled cider. Or, you could serve them all of those things all at once, this fantastic Apple Cider Sangria. Yes! Let’s do that.
