{happy weekend!}

Happy Friday everyone! Â I’m still trying to figure out how the week went by so quickly, but I’m glad to be back home in DC after spending a few days in New York and New Jersey. Â Right now I’m looking forward to a night out with friends this evening followed by a lazy weekend. Â But in the meantime…

Luke’s Striped Letterpress Birthday Party Invitations

Rachelle from Wiley Valentine sent over these adorable custom birthday party invitations that she recently designed for Desiree from Desiree Spinner Events. Â Desiree’s son Luke will be turning seven later this month, so Rachelle went with a modern one-color design with playful stripes. Â The invitations were letterpress printed on thick cotton paper with corresponding envelopes â€“ so fun!

Colorful Jungle-Inspired Lasercut Party Invitations from Zenadia Design

Last week Heidi from Zenadia Design shared these elegant peony invitations for a 50th birthday, and this week she’s back with something totally different â€“ an ’80s-inspired jungle theme invitation! Â Heidi created these invitations for a corporate holiday party and she definitely went all out on the details â€“ from vibrant colors to a zebra pattern envelope liner to a lasercut jungle scene on the outside flap of the invitation. Â These are definitely different, but a whole lot of fun.

From Heidi:Â Designed for a modern Jungle Safari themed party, this invitation was inspired by the artist Nagel and all things 80’s with a jungle vibe. Â The invitation features a laser cut jungle scene on the outer flap, and comes in a zebra lined envelope. Â Jungle foliage details and colors echo the 1980’s in this flat printed invitation.

Elegant Pink Peony 50th Birthday Party Invitations

I absolutely love peonies; I get positively giddy when the gorgeous blooms start to make their appearance each spring. Â Heidi from Zenadia Design created these invitations for a 50th birthday party, and the client also loves peonies and wanted to incorporate them into the invitation for her party! Â Heidi combined pink peonies with beautiful calligraphy from The Left Handed Calligrapher and wax seals to create the perfect invitation for an elegant birthday party.

From Heidi:Â This invitation was designed for a 50th birthday party. Â Kathy, the birthday girl, loves peonies and pink and wanted to incorporate them into her celebration. Â She also loved the look of letterpress and wax seals. Â We designed an invitation for her with two color letterpress, a custom wax seal, and beautiful calligraphy from The Left Handed Calligrapher. Â Also in the suite were table numbers, favor boxes, escort cards, menus, and cupcake and candy bar signs.
