These next two designers had two of my favorite booths at last year’s National Stationery Show – and some seriously impressive booth design for first time exhibitors! Adrienne from Dingbat Press (Booth 2063) had the most amazing silver leaf booth design, while Rebekah from Wild Ink Press (Booth 1971) created a stunning hand painted pattern on gray chalkboard paint. I’m dying to see Rebekah’s ombre booth design for this year’s show and to see what Adrienne has up her sleeve, but in the meantime check out this preview of some of the new cards they’ll be debuting at the show in a couple of days!
Yay! I can’t wait to see the new collections in just a couple of days!

Stationery Show Sneak Peek: 42 Pressed
05/18/2012It looks like there are going to be lots of fabulous wedding invitations at this year’s Stationery Show! Our latest sneak peek comes to us from Jackie at 42 Pressed (Booth 2066), who is celebrating the release of a brand new wedding collection and new website! The wedding collection features fresh and modern typography combined with whimsical elements – from nautical sophistication to country flair to rustic charm.
Jackie also sent over a sneak peek of the first 42 Pressed letterpress calendar! The calendar design features a different 2-color produce illustration for each month, inspired by the food that Jackie makes for her little baby girl who turns a year old in June. I love the way Jackie came up with the idea for her calendar – read below for her description!
From Jackie: This is our first ever letterpress calendar and we are SO excited about it. I make all of our daughter’s food, so I am very conscious of what I feed her. It can be difficult to buy everything organic, so I found myself always referring to the “dirty dozen” list of veggies: the top 12 veggies that you should always buy organic due to the high traces of pesticides found by the United States Department of Agriculture. I wanted to design a kitchen guide that clearly indicates all produce on the list that also works as a fun kitchen calendar.
Thanks Jackie!

Wedding Invitations from Printerette Press
05/16/2012I had the pleasure of meeting Catherine from Printerette Press when she made her trade show debut at last year’s Stationery Show – and it has been so much fun watching her collection grow over the past year! I can’t wait to see Catherine’s new cards in a few days (Booth 2056), but today I’m completely smitten with the brand new Printerette Press wedding invitation collection debuting at the show this weekend! The new collection features Catherine’s signature whimsical design style, from hand lettering and illustrated details to watercolor elements, all letterpress printed on soft cotton paper.
So pretty! Congrats Catherine!

I can’t help but feel an enormous sense of DC area pride when it comes to this next sneak peek designer – Claudia from Fig. 2 Design Studio! Claudia made a big splash during her NSS debut last year with neon greeting cards, whimsical gift tags, and gorgeous wedding invitations, and I’m sure she’s going to knock it out of the park again this year. Claudia is adding three new designs to her two wedding albums, Fresh and Felicity, and today she’s sharing a peek into the new Fresh album designs! Each reflect Claudia’s fun and festive aesthetic, from bright neon typography to fun stripes and copper foil-stamped confetti.
Thanks Claudia!
