07/19/2011While we’re on the subject of babies today, Kelly is back with a round-up of some awesome cards to help your family and friends welcome a tiny new addition!
Hello everyone! My last few posts have been centered around wedding details, so today I thought I would do something a little different. I’m definitely at the age where it seems like there’s a new little guy or girl to welcome to the world every week, and that means I’m on the hunt for pretty cards to send to the lucky parents! Pick up a few of these cards in advance and you’ll be ready to celebrate all the new babies and parents in your life.

Wedding Details: Creative Menu Ideas
06/29/2011Hi everyone! It’s Kelly here again, back with some more wedding day stationery ideas to share with you – and this time I’m focusing on wedding menus. Menus are one of my favorite details at a wedding, and I love seeing how the bride and groom choose to give their guests a sneak peek of the meal to come. Whether you go with a menu at each place setting or as part of the centerpiece, I’ve gathered some of the best ideas to share with you.

I think just about everyone around the blogosphere fell in love with Anna Bond’s DIY wedding menu wheel – and for good reason! Details and instructions on Design Sponge.

Smock has some beautiful letterpress menus; this is the Engadine design with one of my favorite color combinations.
I’m in love with both of these rustic menu designs! Cutting board centerpiece menu designed by Blue Pool Road and photographed by Bonnie Tsang via Snippet and Ink. Wood menu created by Melangerie and photographed by Docuvitae via Style Me Pretty.
And while they’re not completely paper-related, how could I leave out chalkboard menus? Here are two examples of how they can be done in a creative and stylish way.

p.s. Do you know the difference between place cards and escort cards? Simply put, escort cards guide your guest to their designated table, while place cards help guests find their assigned seat. Escort cards are typically placed at a central location at the entrance to the reception. Guests will find their card, then locate their table based on the number indicated on the card. Place cards, which are only necessary if you have assigned seating at your reception, sit at each individual place setting – hence the name!
