The 2016 National Stationery Show, Part 1

Finally!! There were more new exhibitors at this year’s show than I’ve ever seen at past shows, and many of them made VERY strong debuts. Let’s start there, shall we? At least a couple of these exhibitors will be familiar to OSBP readers, starting with Katie of The Good Twin! Katie has exhibited at shows in the past through Crow & Canary, but this was her first year exhibiting all on her own. So exciting! I absolutely loved everything in The Good Twin booth, including brand new screen printed cards, graphic pattern note cards, pencil sets, new enamel pins (pugs and kittens!), and a new bronze cast necklace collaboration with Kate Miss to complement the existing Zodiac enamel pin and postcard series!

p.s. These posts are always full of photos (and therefore very long), so I put a jump in the post to avoid longer page load times. Keep reading after the jump for more gorgeous stationery!

I’ve been following Amy Heitman‘s work for a while now, so her booth was definitely at the top of my walking list. I absolutely love Amy’s illustration style, which was available in the form of greeting cards, boxed sets, art prints, and gift wrap at the show.

There was definitely no shortage of color in the August Paper Co. booth! I love the story behind their creative process: each card features a combination of a scanned and digitized tissue paper collage and letterpress printed text. So unique!

I always enjoy a booth with a sense of humor – especially when combined with plenty of color and lots of metallic (and hologram) foil! The Lionheart Prints booth had both in spades! Oh, and some seriously cute mugs and the most adorable baby onesie!

There were lots of bold, graphic patterns in the Off Switch booth, including gold foil note cards, a rainbow of letterpress printed note cards, screen printed gift wrap – and the hand painted booth walls! I love the contrast of those hand painted graphic patterns with the hand lettered greeting cards and art prints.

The Brylo Studio booth was full of clean and modern cards in a nature-inspired color palette. You can definitely see the California influence in Chaz’s greeting card designs (even though she’s based in Colorado!), and I’m absolutely loving all the botanical elements in her cards!
