As promised, I’m back with more from the NYNOW summer market! Today we’re focusing on home decor exhibitors, followed by some of my favorite jewelry exhibitors a bit later. Each year, I come across at least one booth that I just can’t get out of my mind after the show… and this year it’s the debut booth from Light + Ladder. A brand new company from ceramic designer Farrah Sit, Light + Ladder features ceramic planters, wood and leather shelves, brass wall hooks, and tabletop items. So many beautiful objects!
The most showstopping part of Light + Ladder? A collaboration with Fox Fodder Farm to produce these incredible planters. Each planter is currently custom made to fit the space, with plants chosen and provided to suit the conditions of the individual home. The planters include frames constructed from metal or wood, with ceramic basins to hold water. Amazing.
Textile exhibitor Bonnie and Neil also stopped me in my tracks at the show – look at all that bright color! The fabrics are all hand screen printed in their Melbourne, Australia studio.
Musical mobiles and cute neon pink heart and gold star decals from Ferm Living
Lots of cute + quirky knit accessories and tabletop goods from Donna Wilson
This gorgeous quilt from Allem Studio caught my attention while walking the show – isn’t that triangle pattern amazing?! So many beautiful textiles.
While they weren’t exhibiting at the show, One Kings Lane set up a small pavilion showcasing some of their favorite design trends with a curated collection of products available from actual exhibitors. Interesting!
I’ll be back with some of my favorite jewelry exhibitors from the NYNOW summer market in just a bit!
