Happy News!

You guys, I’m thrilled to share some extra-special news with you today Γ’β‚¬β€œ my husband and I are expecting our first baby!  I’m in my second trimester and we’re due in early October.  I’ll admit, I was really surprised by how tough the first trimester was, at least for me.  Exhaustion and nausea both kicked in right around 6 weeks, which made it really difficult for me to keep up with my normal work schedule and left me unable to eat anything other than crackers (and maybe a little fruit) up until a couple of weeks ago.  But thankfully my energy levels are back up and my appetite is mostly back, so now we’re feeling incredibly happy and excited to embark on this amazing journey!

  1. So very exciting !!! You will love the second trimester !!! I am 26 weeks pregnant with our first as well ! Congrats on your little blessing and wishing you a happy & healthy pregnancy !

  2. Nole, a heartfelt congrats to you and your husband!! Hope the nausea stays at bay for the rest of the time and you have a wonderful pregnancy. So happy for you! Something tells me we’ll be seeing a lot of baby announcements in the next few months πŸ˜‰ Congrats!

  3. That’s fabulous news! I wish you an easy, healthy pregnancy πŸ™‚ The second trimester is definitely the best. I’m due any moment now with our first as well, so I’ve been spending my maternity leave designing birth announcements to be letterpress printed soon after our little one arrives.

  4. Congratulations, Nole!!! SO excited for you both! Sorry to hear you were sick the first trimester. I felt the same way, and luckily, it went away the week before the NSS (2010). (Although maybe not so lucky to be feeling that way during NSS prep. Oh well.) Glad that you’ll be feeling well for the NSS, too. Can’t wait to see you there (sporting an adorable baby bump)!

  5. Hooray!!! So happy for you πŸ™‚ I’m due in September and that first trimester and even into the second for me was pretty terrible…but I’m feeling much better and I’m glad you are too! Congrats on such great news!

  6. Congratulations Nole! I loved being pregnant (didn’t have all the nausea you’ve experienced). We’re getting ready to go for our second now that our little man turned 2. Lots of luck!

  7. CONGRATULATIONS, Nole!!! How exciting!!! My first trimester was awful, too, I couldn’t do anything. Our due was early October last year as well and we had a baby girl πŸ™‚ It’s going to be sooo wonderful, I’m very happy for you and your family!! Enjoy the rest of the pregnancy, it goes so fast!!! πŸ™‚

  8. Thank you all so much for your incredibly sweet comments! I can’t even begin tell you how much they mean to us! xoxo

  11. Nole, so happy for you guys!!! That’s the best news. You are going to be one amazing mama. So happy to hear you’re over that hump. Eating feels good, doesn’t it?! I couldn’t eat for 4 months Γ’β‚¬β€œ I swear the morning sickness is a worse memory than the labor for me.

  12. Congratulations, Nole! This is such happy, happy news. Can’t wait to see pictures of your sweet little one … And a post about the birth announcement. It’s sure to be fabby fab!
