Oh So Beautiful Paper

In all the hubbub of Alt last week, I kind of forgot about an important personal milestone – the anniversary of my husband’s deployment to Iraq.  He’s now been home as long as he was deployed, but I still wake up every day feeling grateful that he’s here.  Everything felt so chaotic and overwhelming this time last year; a feeling that continued up until the day he came home.  So if you know of anyone with a spouse or family member deployed overseas, give them a few extra hugs – I’m sure they would appreciate it.  I’m looking forward to enjoying a weekend here in DC before heading up to NYC on Sunday for the New York International Gift Fair and to help judge the 2012 Louie Awards.  But in the meantime…

   Love the cute kitchen shop! Lovely website. I remember reading your post about your husband coming home and feeling so happy for you…and am happy for you again.. It’s been a year? I can hardly work that out in my head.

   That is so wonderful that your husband is home with you Nole. I do remember when he was gone as you had been very worried. I am so grateful for those men & women who serve but so sad for their families having to miss them and worry about them so much.

   how did I not know your hubs was deployed overseas? I must have missed it in the fog of my first year as a mom (I missed a lot in that fog!) but I’m so glad he’s home safe and you can relax. that is so hard! thank him for me
