Oh So Beautiful Paper

Valerie from Southern Fete Creative got married this past September, and her wedding invitations are just as beautiful as I expected!  Valerie chose a simple and modern black and white color palette for her wedding invitations, but spiced things up with light blue envelopes, fun font selections, and envelope liners made from book pages!

From Valerie: As a stationery designer, I use a lot of bold colors.  I really surprised myself when I chose a fairly simple black and white palette.  I started the process a bit backwards when I decided I wanted to include book page envelope liners.  My sister and I and a few friends, created the custom liners.  THEN I started thinking on the invitation design. The inspiration for our wedding was a Barq’s Rootbeer can of all things.  I loved the banner and fun fonts.  For the crest, it worked out well that my last name started with M and his with a W – we created a fun design with that!

Valerie continued the black and white design through to the day-of wedding stationery, with coordinating thank you cards, ceremony programs, marriage certificate, and place cards.
