Jennifer + Chris’s Modern Save the Date Booklet

02/10/2011

Jennifer from Adori Designs sent over these fun save the date booklets that she created for her own upcoming wedding!  Jennifer’s wedding will take place on the shore, but instead of a traditional beach-inspired colors Jennifer chose a bold and modern color palette of purple and green for her save the dates.

From Jennifer:  I’ve always been obsessed with handmade booklets ever since I took a book binding class in college.  So when it came to my wedding stationery, I knew right away I needed to incorporate some kind of booklet.

We are getting married at the jersey shore but didn’t want to go all out with an expected beach theme.  Instead, I kept it very simple with a minimal graphic pattern and simple use of typography.  Because it is somewhat of a destination wedding, the focus was accommodating our guests as much as possible by including a small map and hotel information.

A magnet was also added and adhered to the last page with removable glue.  I also didn’t want to give away too much of the design in the Save the Date, just a little “sneak peek”.  The grand finale will be the invitation itself which will repeat some of these graphic elements and introduce new ones.  And yes, you guessed it, it will be some kind of book!

Jennifer is doing my save the dates and invitations. We are just in the process of finalizing the save the dates now. I am super excited over how they look, and I cannot wait to see how the invitations will come out. She’s truly creative and artistic and is always coming up with a fresh ideas in her work.
