Nov09Christina + Trevor’s Rock n’ Roll Wedding Invitations

These wedding invitations from Wiley Valentine bring together the couple’s shared love for rock n’ roll with the wedding’s tropical setting in Key West, Florida.  After designing the wedding save the dates with a mix of red and black inks, Rachelle from Wiley Valentine went with a muted color palette of soft purple and gray, along with fun patterns and mixed typography.

From Rachelle:  The bride and groom are a really fun couple.  They both really have a passion for music, so they knew that the invitations should reflect that shared passion somehow.  We used song quotes and made the details card reflect a ticket.  We used rock n’ roll inspired typography, and kept the overall vibe light and fun.

In addition to the main invitation, we also had the opportunity to design a bunch of different pieces, including a bridal shower invitation, engagement party invitation, rehearsal dinner invitation, and save the dates.  It was fun to keep the same style and vibe but be able to get creative so each piece is still different.  The entire wedding suite and accompanying pieces were printed by Czar Press on 100% cotton paper.

I so rarely get to feature rehearsal dinner invitations, so I was thrilled when Rachelle sent over some images of the invitations they designed for Christina and Trevor’s wedding rehearsal dinner!  Rachelle incorporated some of the same rock n’ roll typography and a fun monogram at the top of the invitation.

   I remember loving the save-the-dates, but I really adore these invitations. I’m especially digging the Pearl Jam quote they included. A couple after my own heart!
