Sweet Blue Birds Bridal Shower Invitations
08/31/2010Eleanor from Oh Louise! sent over these invitations for an upcoming bridal shower. The shower will be with 20 of the bride’s closest girlfriends and an outdoor garden brunch of mimosas, mojitos, and yogurt parfait along a bunch of other yummy treats. Eleanor ended up going with her sweet flock of birds design in a fun turquoise and twine color palette:
So cute! Thanks Eleanor!

This is turning out to be quite an international week for wedding invitations! Kate from Ruby & Willow sent over these gorgeous floral wedding invitations, with vintage stamps from New Zealand. In addition to the lovely floral design, I’m loving the invitation colors of warm brown and peachy hues like apricot and shell…
Kate tells me that the invitation design was inspired by the bride’s parents garden, where the wedding reception will take place. Rachelle, the bride, wanted a mis-matched and vintage-inspired design, but definitely nothing overly formal or serious. The color palette was inspired by the bridesmaids’ chocolate brown dresses with peach details.
Just gorgeous! Thanks so much Kate!

Fingerprint Business Cards
08/30/2010I’m always on the lookout for cool business card ideas – and I love the half fingerprint of these letterpress business cards from Papered Together. Delicate and unexpected at the same time…
I’m not sure about the blind impression above, but it almost resembles a bar code, don’t you think? Both very cool details. There are a few more business cards over on the Papered Together custom gallery, which you can find right here.

Wedding Invitations – Mitchell + Dent
08/30/2010I’ve been a huge fan of Aussie stationers Mitchell & Dent since discovering their gorgeous paperwares earlier this spring. For the past few months, Mitchell & Dent have been working on a new wedding invitation line, and I’m thrilled to let you all know that it’s finally here! The collection features twelve stunning designs available in both letterpress and digital printing options, from a modern take on the ampersand to a pattern inspired by Liberty of London floral patterns and everything in between. Prepare yourselves for some serious pretty!

{happy weekend!}
08/27/2010This weekend feels like the last weekend of summer – I know we still have a few weeks before Fall officially arrives, but the sun is setting earlier every evening and it’s definitely getting cooler. Another sign that Fall is approaching? 2011 calendars. They were everywhere at the Gift Fair and I’m starting to see some pop up online. If you’ve been reading this blog for a while you know that I do big calendar round-ups each year, and I’m looking forward to continuing the tradition this September. Designers, if you’d like to submit your calendar for this year’s round-ups, just shoot me an e-mail with photos right here! But in the meantime…
