Summer Pinwheels
07/21/2010Ah, pinwheels… such a light and fun symbol of summer, aren’t they? I’m loving these pinwheel letterpress notecards (printed in an even more summery shade of yellow) from Duet Letterpress:

Vintage Airmail-Inspired Wedding Invitations
07/20/2010These gorgeous airmail-inspired wedding invitations come to us from Erin at Lucky Luxe. Erin’s bride and groom, Gabriella and Peter, were inspired by their shared love of travel. Erin combined the vintage airmail design with the idea of a handwritten letter for an unbelievably gorgeous and completely romantic result!
From Erin: Gabriella was originally envisioning a vintage airline ticket suite as a nod to their love for travel. I began to imagine something Hemingway inspired — love letters sent from around the globe, handwritten and imperfect, personal and cherished, with drips and puddles of fountain ink adorning the corners of each piece.
I love how the design includes the splotches and splatters of ink wells – all letterpress printed along with the invitation text – in keeping with the overall feel of an antique hand-written letter.
An airmail border was letterpress printed in red and blue on each envelope. Beautiful calligraphy by Holland Wilson.
Erin lined each envelope with a print of a vintage map on beautiful linen paper.
Erin tells me that this is her favorite invitation suite that she’s ever designed at Lucky Luxe – and I completely agree! Check out more from Erin right here and here!

Get Well Card Round-Up
07/20/2010One of my friends was recently ill and had to spend some time in the hospital (not to worry, she’s fine now), but of course I sent her a get well card while she was recovering. I’m guessing that some of you might also have friends or family in need of a get well card, so I thought I’d share a quick round-up with some of my favorite options:
