Oh So Beautiful Paper

Before I jump into today’s regular content – including some amazingly gorgeous wedding invitations – I just had to share a few photos from our trip to a u-pick strawberry farm this past weekend. Over the holiday weekend, the husband and I went out to the same farm where we picked out our pumpkins last fall, this time with the goal of bringing home as many strawberries as we could pick! We eventually met our goal (and perhaps even surpassed our expectations), but first we were distracted by some very cute kid goats and piglets:

And a few roosting hens:

But then it was on to the strawberries!

We came home with – no joke – TEN pounds of strawberries!

We’ve already eaten about a quarter of that and used another quarter to make ice cream. I’m busy exploring yummy strawberry recipes for the rest now!

   I’ve been eating so many strawberries lately. These look lovely. And, of course, I LOVE the farm animals too!

   i love this season.

   i have a dipping recipe for you.

   in a bowl & using an electric mixer, combine:
   8 oz. cream cheese
   8 oz. sour cream
   1/2 cup sugar (i like using 1 cup…)
   1/2 tsp vanilla

   serve, & for extra sweetness sprinkle some brown sugar atop the cream or have some in a little bowl on the side.

   & p.s. the new website is wonderfully pretty!

   Oh, yum! Fresh strawberries are the best. Although I don’t even know what I would do with 10 pounds!!

   Fresh picked strawberries are the BEST. So much better than the sort you buy at the grocery store. My two sisters, mom, and two aunts go picking every year and make strawberry jelly. So good!

   Yum! Strawberries are great inspiration for summer weddings. I love the idea of serving strawberry shortcake at a summertime reception
