Vintage-Inspired Mad Lib Wedding Invitations

03/24/2010

It makes my heart sing just a bit every time that I hear about a couple finding their wedding invitation designer through one of my past posts. So when Molly from Paisley Quill sent over these awesome vintage-inspired wedding invitations – with a mad lib rsvp card! – that she created for readers Meg and Tyler, I was beyond thrilled!

From Molly: The bride and groom, Meg and Tyler, had a big part in the design.  They wrote the fun poem on the itinerary and the Mad Lib response. We also included a favorite Dr. Seuss quote that was meaningful to them in the main invitation.

Meg and Tyler are getting married at a Winery in Connecticut. They wanted a response that looked like a ticket to their big event.

I used soft cotton letterpress paper for the invitation suite, and had it flat printed.  Meg and Tyler are going to use vintage stamps as well.  I made mailing labels out of a vintage map of Connecticut where the wedding is taking place and wrapped them around transparent envelopes.

Thanks so much Molly – and a big thanks to Meg and Tyler for reading!  For a bit more about the design process for Meg and Tylers wedding invitations, check out the Paisley Quill blog.

I love these invitations. The Mad Lib RSVP card is such a fun idea. And the vellum envelopes look great with the map wrapped around the middle. What a happy thing for everyone involved!
