DIY Housewarming Party Invitations

I love these last-minute invitations that Jen created using free paint color chips from her local Green Depot:

In addition to being a quick, easy, and totally creative to invite a few friends over for a housewarming, I love the use of the vintage typewriter!  Such a perfect idea for a housewarming or informal dinner party for a newlywed couple that perhaps used a typewriter guest book in their wedding.  I love the Color Me Happy theme, too — you can check out more from the party over at the haystack needle.

  1. hey Nole, you just made my day! so sweet to be featured on one of my favorite sites. The invites were so quick and fun to make, and I liked how they looked like a colorful ticket to the party.

  2. I use these same color sample charts for bookmarks. But I also recently used them as place setting for a friends wedding. She had a colour theme, so I got all the different purple shaded ones, printed peoples names on them, hole punched them, put a ribbon through the hole and tied them around the knives on each table.
They actually looked great. Thanks for sharing your idea.
