Oh So Beautiful Paper

I'm feeling in need of some additional inspiration on this cold (and somewhat dreary) afternoon, and my first thought went to the gorgeous pinhole artwork of Heather Smith Jones.

I've been a huge fan of Heather's pinhole work since discovering her Etsy store a while back — but I'm even more impressed with some of her recent artwork involving original watercolor and illustration:

 Isn't the combination of pinhole and watercolor just absolutely beautiful?  The first watercolor print is part of a series, which is now nearing the end {Update: I'm sorry, I couldn't resist and bought it myself} – but I hope Heather continues to explore this combination of textures and pattern!  In the meantime, you can see more of Heather's lovely work here and here.

   Wow, so gorgeous. I love the white on white–something so subtle about it yet intriguing.

   Heather’s work is so beautiful. I own a couple of her small pieces and a pin hole piece and they are even more lovely in person.
