Wedding Invitations — Pica Press
10/30/2008As promised, I’ve got a lovely set of wedding invitations to share with you today! I’m featuring the fabulous portfolio of Pica Press. Pica Press is a small design studio based in California and run by Susanne Duffner. Susanne describes her design philosophy as “beauty is in the small details and simplicity is always best” and her inspiration includes items such as found objects, patterns, maps, vintage wallpaper, typography, antique books, flea market finds, and hand-written postcards.
Here are a few of my favorite examples from the Pica Press wedding invitation portfolio:
{a classic design in green with brown text}
{a fun combination of red and aqua}

{this design evokes a minimalist, but somewhat asian-inspired theme}
{I love everything – the old fashioned wood type font, the packaging, everything.}
{the new classic combination of yellow and gray}
{love the calligraphy scroll detailing}
{another fabulous font, this time a beautiful script perfect for palm springs}
{love the fun layout in the Save the Date card}
{a beautiful and romantic floral design}
{and a vintage-inspired design using scrolls and ornaments}
In addition to their fabulous work designing wedding invitations, Pica Press also does stationery, baby announcements, and commercial work:

They are all lovely! The top green one and the bright yellow one with the big monogram are my favorites!
